The first item everyone will want to pack is a bathing suit. All of the Grupo Mayan resorts on located on the lovely Mexican coasts and we have tropical weather year round. We also have many pools at each resort. No matter if you want to swim, relax on the beach, or participate in some of our thrilling water sport you will need your bathing suit.
As mentioned, the Grupo Mayan resorts are located in tropical climates. Our average year round temperature is eighty degrees. This temperature can become much higher in the summer months and has been known to cool off in the winter. When packing for the weather, Grupo Mayan guests will want to pack lots of light colored cotton clothes. Natural fibers are best, say the Grupo Mayan pros.
No matter what time of year you visit, the evenings can sometimes become cool at the Grupo Mayan resorts. Pack a long sleeved shirt and pants for the cool ocean breezes in the evenings at Grupo Mayan. Many of the offsite tours will require a more modest dress and the shirt and pants will come in helpful.
While most of your time at the Grupo Mayan resorts will be fun and casual you will want to pack one or two more formal outfits for dinner. Several restaurants at each Grupo Mayan site are more formal in the evening and you will be more comfortable dressed appropriately.
If you plan on participating in our many sporting opportunities be sure to bring the appropriate clothing and shoes. Golf and tennis, for which we are very popular, both require special shoes and light and comfortable clothing.
Pack several types of shoes. For everyday wear you will be most comfortable in flip-flop style shoes or sandals. Golfers and tennis players will want to bring shoes appropriate for their sport. Tennis shoes or hiking boots are recommended for tours. A pair of dressier shoes to go with your evening attire is also appropriate.
Hats are suitable for the Mexican sun. Even with a full head of hair it is possible to get sunburn. A great hat will keep you cool and keep the sun from beating down on your face and head.
