Heading out to one of our Grupo Mayan vacation resorts can be a very exciting prospect for your friends or the whole family. However, some travelers may not allocate good planning during their packing. They would be appalled to discover some essential things they forgot to pack upon arriving in their Grupo Mayan resort hotel.
The following are some basic tips that our Grupo Mayan staff has compiled for our guests and other travelers. This is geared to maximize your stay at our Grupo Mayan resorts and focus on enjoying yourselves, instead of worrying over your luggage and your missing or forgotten items.
- Limit your wardrobe to a maximum two outfits a day: People have the tendency to bring their whole wardrobe with them on their vacation trips. Some travelers, particularly women, are like fashion models during their vacation stay at our Grupo Mayan resorts and seem to change clothing to something new every hour. Whether you are a man or a woman, you can plan to take a daytime and a nighttime outfit per day. Limit yourself to one swimsuit per day.
- Bring clothing that can mix and match with the rest of your outfits: Bring tops, bottoms and jackets that can be worn interchangeably. Our Grupo Mayan staff recommends standard clothing like jean, khaki and shorts that can be worn with any tops. This also applies to your shoes. Bring only a few pairs that will look good with any of your outfits.
- Bring only essential toiletries and cosmetic items: You do not need to bring to bring all your hair and makeup kit with you during your Grupo Mayan vacations. If you plan to spend most of your time on the beach, water sports activities and other Mexican adventures, then excessive cosmetics may not be appropriate. If you do need some supplies, you can just coordinate with any of our Grupo Mayan staff and we will be happy to oblige.
- Divide your stuff between your carry-on and your suitcase: Despite efforts by airlines and airports, there are still chances that you and your luggage will be separated. If the undesired event occurs, you still have some usable items with you. This includes some toiletries, extra t-shirt, pants or shorts.
- Be ready with your travel insurance: Traveling to a foreign country without travel insurance would not be a wise move indeed. Most travelers make this mistake and would soon come to regret it when they are already in a bind. Travel insurance can protect you if you get sick, lost your luggage, cancelled trips and other mishaps. With just a few extra dollars to spend, travel insurance can protect you from these nightmares.
